What an absolute GEM of a car!

The Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint has always been a special car. The Italian masterpiece was designed by Franco Scaglione when he worked for Bertone. For its time this was an extremely aerodynamic car with a Cw rating of only 0.28, which would not be trumped for another 20 years. Our Giulia Sprint Special was delivered to Germany in 1965 and to a Mr. Elliot in the States in 1969. In 1991 this Giulia SS arrived in the Netherlands. This is a car with an older restoration. It had a ‘Body-Off” restoration and has been very well maintained ever-since. This Alfa Romeo is still an original car, with navy blue leather trim in an authentic condition with a lovely patina. The car has always been correctly maintained using original parts. The 1,570 cc 4-cylinder engine has the twin Weber carburettors delivering 100 bhp. The 5-speed gearbox and differential were also overhauled in the past. As the Giulia Sprint Speciale came with disc brakes since 1961, they are also present on this car.
This Giulia is a matching numbers model and the extensive documentation records the restoration, the maintenance and ever correspondence with the American first owner.
