In this class you will learn how to download the 3D models that you can see on Google Maps and Google Earth. These models can serve as a great starting point if you are creating a real place, or just if you want to have realistic models in the background of your environment.

The software used for this is covered in the class and is all available for free so if you don't already have everything you need, the first video takes you through the process of finding and properly installing the applications.

I'm Shane and I have been using Maya as well as Unreal Engine professionally for 15 years and have been teaching beginners how to use these amazing tools for over 10 years. I am a qualified teacher and have used my years of experience to create a project based class with a deliberate and methodical learning curve designed to go from holding your hand at the beginning through to setting you complex, independent challenges as the class progresses.
