Nice afternoon with some sun shine, much better than yesterday.

Spent most of the day doing other things, like moving lumber and mowing the lawn around all the junk on this side of the yard using an olde school manual push mower - my lats will be unhappy by Tuesday!

Rather than get too into dormer framing I decided to spend the last few hours of daylight moving the stairs to their final location and building the north pony wall. This involved replacing the oversized and thin-gauge connector plates holding the post to the beam with something more appropriate, then trimming the mid-span beam to length so the stair stringer could sit flush against the doubled rim joist and floor beam.

Once the stairs were moved it was time to build the pony wall to match the landing. Then I replaced the temporary top stair tread with a full-sized one that caps the top of the stringers. The 2nd top step had a nasty looking knot in it so I replaced it also with the temporary top step (it was structurally sound, just looked kinda ugly) .
