Storyline: (as per reported by local resident)
At 2:10 AM Residents heard loud bomb like explosion as a white "Mustang Cobra" hit a house being remodeled. The vehicle high speed chase began in Downtown Mountain View as the driver who was escaping from an encounter at the Monty Carlo Club with an armed man. A high speed chase ended where the victim's vehicle ran off road and into a house at the Del Medio & California Ave intersections in Mountain View, California. The driver was appeared to have minor injuries who was quoted by the resident who called the police about the wreck... that (the Driver) said that he was being chased by a suspect or suspect(s) in a van who had held a gun to his head in a downtown Mountain View night club prior to the chase. (The driver was arrested for a variety of other minor offenses. )

MTN VIEW POLICE REPORTED:
The Mountain View PIO reported on Saturday 07-17-10 that confirmed that they had responded prior to the crash to a report of a young adult brandishing a firearm at the Monty Carlo Club. Mountain View Police noted that the Police "were not" in hot pursuit of the White Mustang at the time of the subsequent wreck.

The Mountain View Police are still investigating this incident and are still looking for the subject with the firearm at the Mountain View night club.
