Was all a waste of time, in the end, the game only maxes out at 1024 for dynamic cube reflection even adding the 4 lines to the pickup_glass texture..

Looked exactly the same. I think the confusion is in the way you can tab focus to another vehicle and the game changes that really nice reflection for a generic cube map. You could edit that cubemap since the basic images are 256 x 256. Go up to 2048 per cube but it static, its not changing as the world around you changes. And honestly it does not look better than the dynamic reflection, Maybe in place of the lower res cubemap but that is large hassle for little return. I could see doing it if you wanted to make screenshots, but its pointless to compete now doing that. Ai can significantly improve any screenshot now to look better. Same thing as playing an pc game, you can believe people cheat at it.
