Hello everyone and welcome to my new book review.

Today it's Fake Accounts by Lauren Oyler. This is her first book and I was introduced to it through an article in The Guardian. I was riveted reading the book and I think the reason why I was stemmed through wanting to find out what happened to her boyfriend but the book ended up being more of a ramble of her own thoughts and experiences in Berlin to escape the death of her boyfriend. It's an odd book with a twist in the end. It's as if you're reading a diary or a journal of someone trying to make sense of the world of social media.

At times, it made me sad that our world is addicted to phones, apps and fake accounts and that makes us question who's being truthful.

I may not have ended up finishing this book but the subject matter is topical that I wanted to see how this protagonist dealt with the issue of finding that her boyfriend as a popular conspiracy theorist on social media accounts that she had no idea about.
