The webinar, on “The Double-Edged Sword of AI in Critical Infrastructure Protection” was held on the 20th of September, bringing together more than 80 attendees including leading experts and innovators in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP). Organized both under the EU-CIP project and the ECSCI Cluster, the event provided a platform for crucial knowledge exchange and discussions on how AI technologies can both defend and challenge the security of critical infrastructures. The webinar presented a series of sessions showcasing cutting-edge AI projects funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme, with presentations focusing on various aspects of AI for threat detection, vulnerability assessment, and intelligence-driven automation in critical infrastructure.
