A Dhamma Talk worth listening and re-listening to - wherein our attention is drawn to the fact that transforming ourselves to becoming virtuous in verbal and bodily action alone is highly recommended in the Buddha's Teachings but is NOT adequate for liberation - i.e. ending this endless Cycle of Birth and Death.

Citing the Buddha's words - "Sabbe sankara anicca" and "Sabbe sankara dukkha " - followed by the statement "understanding of the above leads to liberation"; the necessity to focus on and control Sankara ( translated as Voiltions, Choices, etc ) is the key message in this video.

How does one achieve this?
Answer is - "The Noble Eight-fold Path"
Development of 3 (of the 8 factors) - namely Right Effort, Right Mindfulness and Right Concentration are essential if one wishes to be liberated from Samsara.

The practice required was further clarified as 'Letting go' of ("cutting off" or "extinguishing") Sankara a.k.a Cetana or Thoughts - that arise due to inputs arriving via the six sense doors.

During the Talk and the Discussion, Bhante explained this recommended practice expounded by the Buddha by quoting from the Buddha's discourse known as Kamma Nirodha Sutta in Samyutta Nikaya ( Salayatana samyutta) - a sutta which deals with CESSATION OF KAMMA which is synonymous with Cessation of Sankara.

The video includes step by step guidelines and practical points from an experienced practitioner of Buddhist meditaion who is well equipped with first-hand insight of what he teaches.
