लंबे समय से तापी (TAPI) गैस पाइपलाइन की चर्चा होती रही है। इस प्रोजेक्ट के तहत तुर्केमेनिस्तान से गैस की एक पाइपलाइन अफगानिस्तान से होते हुए पाकिस्तान और फिर भारत में आएगी। तापी का पूरा नाम तुर्कमेनिस्तान, अफगानिस्तान, पाकिस्तान, इंडिया गैस पाइपलाइन है। लंबे समय से लटका यह प्रोजेक्ट फिर से शुरू होने वाला है। अफगानिस्तान ने बुधवार को 10 अरब डॉलर के इस प्रोजेक्ट के अपने हिस्से पर काम शुरू करने की घोषणा की है.
