This video shows us how we can measure the effectiveness of Purifit Shower & Tap filter at home.

Purifit removes chlorine from water by converting it into chlorides using Enforce Calcium Sulphite and KDF . Customers can test this at their home, all you need is OTO(orthotolidine) or any other chlorine testers, a few drops of OTO causes a color change to yellow in the presence of chlorine. The higher the yellowness, the higher the chlorine content.

Please find the steps as follows-

1. Collect the water in two sample bowls, one containing the water which is not filtered (Bowl A) and another bowl which contains the water which is filtered through Purift (Bowl B) 2. Now add a 1-5 drops of OTO (orthotolidine) in to both the bowls, you can see that the water in bowl A turns yellow, the higher the chlorine content the higher the Yellowness. Whereas you can see the bowl B to be colourless, indicating that the chlorine has been converted into chlorides.

Unlike Chlorine, chlorides are stable and are not absorbed by the body. You won't sense the dryness nor the odor which otherwise would be there due to Chlorine.
