Today we're having a look at probably the 3rd largest restaurant delivery services, which just isn't a great place to be: Waitr.
The P/E is a quite obviously terrible -1.5 (30 forward, but I have absolutely no idea who they would ever get there). There's no dividend and I don't expect there to be one in any reasonable time. Revenue is quite obviously growing significantly from $69 Million to $192 Million. With a loss increasing from $34 Million to $289 Million (which is over half their market cap). The balance sheet looks reasonable with $22 Million in stockholder's equity.
Obviously there's no dividend for a dividend investor.
For a value investor the balance sheet is literally the only decent thing. P/E is terrible (although if they could ever get to a P/E of 30, they would be doing quite well). No dividend. Earnings going hugely negative.
A growth investor would have to decide if this company has what it takes to get to the #1 spot in the sector, or at the very least #2. Personally I don't believe that to be the case and I don't expect this company to be around too much longer.
