NCERT Solutions for Class 10 Maths - Triangles Chapter 6. In this video we will study Triangles and related theorems like Area of similar triangle, SSS criterion similarity, AAA criterion similarity, SAS criterion similarity.
According to Area of similar triangle Theorem, The ratio of the areas of two similar triangles is equal to the square of the ratio of their corresponding sides.
This is the Exercise 6.4 (Part I) NCERT Maths Class 10 Chapter 6, hereafter we will cover Chapter 6’s Ex 6.4 (Part II), Ex 6.5, Ex 6.6.
In this video we have covered “Triangles” and the following questions from NCERT Class 10 mathematics, Chapter 6, Exercise 6.4
Question 1. Let triangle ABC similar triangle DEF and their areas be, respectively, 64 square cm and 121 square cm. If Ef = 15.4 cm, find BC.
Question 2. Diagonals of a trapezium ABCD with AB II DC intersect each other at the point O. If AB = 2CD, find the ratio of the areas of triangles AOB and COD.
Question 3. In fig. 6.44, ABC and DBC are two triangles on the same base BC. If AD intersects BC at O. Show that ar (ABC)/ar (DBC) = AO/DO.
Question 4. If the areas of two similar triangles are equal, prove that they are congruent.
Question 5. D, E and F are respectively the mid-points of the sides of AB, BC and CA of Triangle ABC. Find the ratio of the areas of Triangle DEF and Triangle ABC.
