Aqara Door & Window Sensor - Unboxing/Setup/Install, HomeKit & Alexa

The Door and Window Sensor from Aqara is a versatile yet small in size device. This sensor works with Homekit, Alexa, and Google Assitant with the Aqara Hub. The sensor is quite smaller than its competitor's like Eve's Door and Window Sensor. You can incorporate this into your home ecosystem in a multitude of ways such as displaying it as a Window, Door, Blinds, Contact Sensor, or even a Garage Door Opener. This can be used to trigger automations both in Alexa and Homekit. Setup was very easy and quick and went without any hiccups.

Install Goes as Follows:
1. Open the Aqara App
2. Add an accessory
3. Click Door and Window Sensor
4. Choose your Aqara Hub
5. Press and hold the reset button
6. Rename the device and add it to a room

For Homekit:
1. Open Homekit
2. Scroll to find an accessory
3. Choose what type of sensor you want it to Display As
4. Assign it to a Room
5. Change the name if desired

For Alexa:
1. Open the Amazon Alexa app
2. Go to Devices
3. Choose the Room you want to add it to
4. Edit the room and find the Door and Window Sensor
5. Go back to the room and Change the name of the sensor if desired
