This video shows a patient with Parkinson disease after she ingested synthetic cannabinoid. We can observe involuntary and hyperactive muscle movement, frenzied and rapid speech, and paranoid thoughts.

Patients with Parkinson disease may be more susceptible to adverse effects from the ingestion of marijuana and synthetic cannabinoids. This case demonstrates the potential for cannabinoids to dramatically worsen psychosis in a patient with Parkinson disease.

Consent to publish this video was obtained in the company of the patient’s daughter, once the patient’s psychosis had improved.
