This old tool restoration is of a vintage 1889 water pump. It was manufactured in Brockville Ontario by the Smart company. The large air pressure chamber allowed it to pump water to the second level of a house, making these far superior to the regular pitcher pumps. This was a fun restoration for me as it is the first time I have rebuilt a hand pump, and it worked perfectly when it was complete. The spout on the pump was missing so I made one from assorted pipe fittings. I think it turned out great. Let me know what you think in the comments.
