Today, 27 February 2026, on the Second Friday of the holy season of Lent, we gather in prayer and devotion for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass after meditating on the Way of the Cross.

We are live from St Joseph's Catholic Church, Paralakhemundi, united as one family in Christ.

Lent is a sacred season of repentance, fasting, prayer, and spiritual renewal. The readings of today remind us that true worship is not only external sacrifice but a humble and repentant heart before God.

The Lord calls us to reconciliation, forgiveness, mercy, and sincere love towards one another.

As we participate in this Holy Mass, let us:

• Examine our hearts
• Seek forgiveness for our sins
• Forgive those who have hurt us
• Offer our lives along with the sacrifice of Jesus

“Create in me a clean heart, O God.” – Psalm 51

May this Eucharistic celebration strengthen our faith and prepare us for the joy of Easter.

📜 TODAY’S LITURGY REFLECTION

In today’s Lenten liturgy, we are reminded that God desires mercy more than sacrifice. True fasting is not only giving up food, but giving up anger, pride, hatred, and selfishness. When we forgive others, God forgives us. When we show mercy, we receive mercy.

Lent invites us to transform our hearts, not just our habits.


🌿 English Prayer

Heavenly Father, during this holy season of Lent, purify our hearts and renew our spirits. Teach us to forgive as You forgive. Help us to live in peace, love, and humility.

May this Holy Mass draw us closer to You and fill us with Your grace. Amen.
