Mr. Araullo discussed how Philippine journalism is being affected by the widespread digitalization that not only the country is undergoing, but also the whole world. He mentioned how journalists have to grapple with the adjustments in the media landscape, as this affects how they deliver the messages that people should hear and see. He also pointed out how the blurring boundary between social media and news is connected to the proliferation of fake news since before the national elections in 2016, with which he ended how journalists need to go back to their purpose, to the reason why they wanted to partake in the industry in the first place.
