Up to now, I've only eaten liver when I've been able to trick myself by adding bits of it to beef or by freezing it and swallowing it like a pill. But this time I purposely chewed it, tasted it, and actually enjoyed it!

I hope you'll enjoy it as well!

Ingredients:

1 lb chicken livers
1 small onion, thinly sliced
2 small garlic cloves, smashed and peeled
2 bay leaves
1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves
salt to taste
1 cup water
3 sticks salted butter, at room temp
