Exploring the vibrant streets of the medina in Essaouira, Morocco is truly a feast for the senses. From the intricate architecture to the bustling market stalls, every corner holds a new discovery waiting to be made. As I set out on my day of exploration, I decided to take on a culinary challenge by trying the lowest rated restaurant in the medina according to Google.

As I navigated the winding alleyways, the scent of spices and the sounds of local vendors filled the air. Eventually, I reached the restaurant, a small and unassuming establishment tucked away from the main thoroughfare. Sitting down at a table, I braced myself for what was to come.

The menu was simple, offering traditional Moroccan dishes such as tagine and couscous. I decided to try the tagine; a savoury stew of meat and vegetables cooked slowly in a clay pot. The flavours were rich and comforting, a true testament to the skill of the chef.

Despite its low rating, I found myself pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the warmth of the service. It just goes to show that sometimes, the best experiences can be found in the most unexpected places.
