The Composition which was popularised by Sri Madurai Mani Iyer is an eternal favourite for Rasikas and Musicians alike . The composer brings before our eyes the fantastic Adigara Nandi Procession, an annual event in Mylapore where Lord Kapaleeswara comes out with his entire family and entourage to give darshan to his devotees. Papanasam Sivan who lived in Mylapore and decorated Lord Kapali and Karpagambal with immumerable kritis, literally paints the entire picture, the festivity the mood and the Bhakthi aura that fills the air in this monumental composition.
