Let's start the new year by playing all the King's Quest games!

The third King's Quest, also designed by Roberta Williams, released in 1986. This game changes the formula just a bit from the first game. For the first time, you play as a different character; his connection to King Graham is not revealed until the end of the game. In terms of narrative, this game is a bit more refined, and the way the story connects back to the first game is pretty cool.

It generally plays like the first two games, but I find that this game in particular has very annoying puzzles. This is due to a laundry list of items you need to acquire, and strict time constraints on when you can do things. It makes sense with the narrative of the game, but even so I found this game intolerable to play without a walkthrough.
