Truthfully I don't know if anyone reads my little blurbs, I mostly post them just to get some of my thoughts down, like a journal, when my art project is over maybe I will look at all of these and think "wow, this guy needs help" lol But, I play Forza, mostly to get better at games so maybe I will be good enough eventually to play with my kid. Learning how to use a controller was a learning curve for me. As was orienting myself in a simulated environment. Lots of subtle math. XD I have nothing to prove, however, and I'm definitely not trying to be the racingest, bestest, most MLG Pro driver in the game...no thank you! lol That's for you youngsters. "Go get 'em!!", I say. And I understand there are different driving styles and skill levels, oh man, I could write a book of all the challenges and mistakes I have made along the way. hmm...maybe I should write a book! XD That said, I have mentioned before that I don't care who comes in first as long as we win the races and get the cars. I honestly don't care if I'm on the podium at the end for these things, as long as we accomplished what needed to be done to complete the series. I do my best to create clear openings for my teammates, heck I run into a wall at one point (no not the one or two where I'm distracted by the show put on by my teammates) to give the muffin guy a chance to get around me. It's tough when someone is holding the same line as you. But if I let you pass me, but you seem like you might fall back I will pass you, or if the chance presents itself. If I bump you, I can assure you it is only because you are in my line and I couldn't make the turn without the rub. Nothing to take personally, certainly pass me again, I don't mind, just hold the position or advance. But I have noticed this aggressive trend, especially since the Steam group joined. I don't want to say it's toxic, but it's definitely a more aggressive style and it, for me at least, makes the game less enjoyable. I saw the matrix guy coming behind me at one point, and I let them pass despite their questionable driving, but after that first race with the staylifted guy...sigh. I really didn't want to share a podium with any of my teammates, but I didn't feel like matchmaking again only to be in a similar situation I could have passed that one drivatar in the second race, but I didn't feel like working that hard at besting my teammates. It was obvious we were going to win, so I pulled back. Bro, how are you going to ram me from behind on a straightaway? that was an opportunity to slingshot, ya goof! lol I actually got so distracted from watching them dueling each other and being oblivious to the drivatars that I missed a checkpoint in that last race. I knew, as late as it was in that short track I wouldn't be able to place so I just took it easy. it was in the bag, but it was not fun. I have to say a disappointing Trial overall. It made me feel like maybe I should just not finish the season that day, but my kid is coming over this weekend, and I know he will be wanting to get online. So I finished it up, but it wasn't my best effort, I'll be honest. lol the other races will be uploaded if I can get to them today I will include design and tune codes shortly as well.
