TAKING YOU TO TOWER ROCK: Discover nature at Tower Rock Natural Area in Perry County. Normally, this unique geologic feature sits in the Mississippi River about 60 feet above the average river level. However, when the river is low enough, it is possible to walk out to the giant limestone rock. Join Perry County Conservation Agent Chris Doran virtually as he takes you across the Mississippi River on foot from the west bank to view this historic natural landmark. If you go on your own, be aware of slippery rocks crossing the river and tripping hazards from uneven terrain.
