At this video at Learn TECH I will show you how to turn off the computer after a certain time.
You may want to play a Youtube video while you are falling asleep, a game that you are downloading or an windows update and you want your computer to turn off by itself after this process is over. That’s is way I will show to you on this video a simple command that you can use on cmd or create a desktop shortcut and execute it every time that you want your computer to be turned off after a certain time.
The command that you need to apply is: shutdown -s -t 1200
The number is the time in seconds that I want my computer to be on and then to turn off. In this case the computer will be turned off after 20 min.
The same command you can use on cmd.
The command that you need to use on run or at cmd to abort the scheduled shut down is: shutdown -a
