Tune in to an amazing week of online harp concerts from An Chuirt Chruitireachta, International festival for Irish harp Sunday June 27th to Friday July 2nd.

A stellar cast of Irish harpers and musicians are lining up to bring the best of Irish harp music to you each evening at 8pm Irish time.

Monday night June 28th our Tradition Live concert sees us celebrate the richness of our harping tradition with well-known harpers Anne-Marie O’Farrell and Cormac de Barra with Eamonn de Barra, flute and bodhrán, while harper composer Úna Monaghan explores new harp horizons with harp and electronics.

Visit the beautiful Highlanes Gallery in historic Drogheda, Co Louth where Teresa O’Donnell takes us back in time to the story of the 1843 Drogheda Harp School and how its fortunes ebbed and waned over the years. You’ll hear music from an original concert programme as it is brought back to life in the 21st century performed by some of our Festival harpers. They’ll be joined by acclaimed fiddle player Gerry O’Connor.

Stars align on Wednesday night with a scintillating display of music from the northeast, with fiddle player Zoe Conway, John McIntyre on guitar and harper Eilis Lavelle at our Réalta Ó Thuaidh performance .

Our gala concert on Thursday June 1st brings the curtain down on Cairde na Cruite’s 35th Harp Festival, where Siobhan Armstrong will entrance you with the unearthly sounds of the early Irish harp alongside Dominic Mac Giolla Bhríde’s unique and soulful interpretations of harper’s songs.

We can look forward to sparkling performances from the dynamic duo, doyenne of Irish harping, Máire Ní Chathasaigh and the masterly Chris Newman on guitar.
