Very well flown sunset airshow Corsair display filmed Full HD on the evening of June 15th 2024 at Flugplatz Gelnhausen Flugplatzkerb 2024 EDFG runway 25.

1950 Chance Vought built F4U-5NL Corsair D-FCOR " Devotion " serial No.124541 is an US Marines VMF 513 " Flying Nightmares " Korean War Veteran fighter bomber , a real warbird now owned and flown by Georg Raab based at Siegerland Airfield in central Germany.

They also operate an EAA Oshkosh Award Winner 1944 North American P-51 TF-51 Mustang " Frances Dell " US Air Force WW2 fighter and 1952 AT-6 Harvard Trainer plane.

This wonderful airplane was restored by high performance fighter plane experts Max-Alpha Aviation Meier Motors at Bremgarten airport.

Being one of the last US Navy carrier based , propeller driven fighters it evolved out of similar planes like the Grumman Cats : Wildcat , Hellcat , Bearcat and Tigercat. Other twin row radial engine powered aeroplanes of equal speed and performance were the Hawker Sea Fury and Tempest or Douglas Skyraider all developed before the first jet powered fighter airplanes became operational during the 1950´s era of aviation history.
