📘 Z Test Using Standard Error of Proportion | BCS301 | Module 3 | VTU Mathematics-III

In this video, we solve two important VTU examination problems from Statistical Inference – I (Module 3) using the Standard Error of Proportion / Z-test for large samples.


📄 Problem : Consumption of Tea (Standard Error of Proportion)

Before an increase in excise duty on tea, 400 people out of a sample of 500 were tea drinkers.
After the increase in excise duty, 400 people out of a sample of 600 were tea drinkers.

Using standard error of proportion, test whether there is a significant decrease in the consumption of tea at:

95% level of significance

99% level of significance
