Summary of the Cyanide Coffee Murder Case🙌🏻

GOING VIRAL, The cyanide coffee murder case with Jessica Wongso occurred on January 6, 2016. The victim was Wayan Mirna Salihin who was none other than Jessica's best friend. The location of the crime scene at Olivier Cafe inside the Grand Indonesia mall.
The incident began when Jessica, Mirna, and other friends decided to hold a small reunion. They agreed to meet at Cafe Olivier on January 6, 2016, at 17.00 WIB.
On the D-day, Jessica arrived first to reserve a place at the cafe at around 15.32 WIB. While waiting for the appointment time which was still long, Jessica left the cafe to shop.

At that time, Jessica ordered a cup of Vietnamese iced coffee and two cocktail glasses. The coffee was to be given to Mirna and the cocktails to Hani Boon Juwita. While waiting for Mirna's arrival, Jessica hid the drinks she ordered from CCTV cameras using a grocery bag. Mirna arrived at 5:16 pm. She immediately took a sip of the coffee Mirna ordered. Not long after that, her body felt bad, then wobbled unconscious.

Mirna was immediately taken to Abdi Waluyo Hospital, Menteng, Central Jakarta. Unfortunately he could not be helped and died at 18.00 WIB. This case was then handled by the police. According to the autopsy results of the Kramat Jati Police Hospital submitted on January 10, 2016, the cause of Mirna's death was abdominal bleeding. In addition, cyanide was found in Mirna's body so that the initial suspicion was murder by poison.

The first trial was held on June 15, 2016 and the last on October 20, 2016. The Central Jakarta District Court sentenced Jessica Wongso to 20 years in prison. The appeal process was submitted by lawyers until it reached the cassation. The Supreme Court remained in the stance that Jessica was guilty and at that time the panel of judges was led by Judge Artidjo Alkostar.
