I ran into Norman again and he isn't doing too well.

He no longer lives with the woman who was letting him stay with her, so now he's back on the street. His addiction has also increased. He says he's now doing up to 5 pills of dope a day. I offered to try and get him help and into treatment, but he said he wasn't ready yet.

He speaks on doing over 30 years in prison, and explains what that transition was like when he came home to an unknown world. He's had some flesh wounds from chemicals that the drugs are being cut with, and says it's next to impossible to find pure drugs anymore. He elaborates on the daily struggles he faces on the streets of Baltimore, while still trying to maintain his sanity.

He says that pills of dope cost $3, and that it's cheaper (and easier) to get high than it is to get clean.

It's really sad and scary out there now. It's bad enough to struggle with an addiction, but to still put this stuff into your body without even knowing what's in it is super scary. People are literally losing limbs out there. I hope Norman finds the strength to turn it all around.
