IRRS Times Arrow 30th year anniversary railtour (Trainspotting at Portlaoise / Dublin) 18/05/24

2024 marks the 30th year anniversary of the introduction of the class 2600 onto the Irish Rail network, originally being used on the former "Arrow" service between Kildare and Dublin, the 2600 sets now operate on the Cork commuter service.

To pay head to the former Arrow service on its 30th anniversary, the Irish Railway Records Society (IRRS) ran a special railtour, with a class 2600 kindly painted in the old Arrow livery by Irish Rail. The tour left Cork, Proceeded through Portlaoise and into Dublin, along the former Arrow service route, before making its way up north to Dundalk, Maynooth and the Howth Branch line.
