This was my first visit to Free Gold Watch, a pinball arcade boasting San Francisco's largest collection of pinball machines! And they are not kidding. Though Free Gold Watch has been open for over a decade, somehow this was my first visit. Located in The Upper Haight on Waller and Stanyan, Free Gold Watch is tucked away slightly, though only a mere block away from Amoeba and Whole Foods. As soon as I walked in I felt like I was transported back in time to my childhood during the 80's, when the lights and sounds of an arcade along with a roll of quarters could keep a kid entertained for the better part of an afternoon. As an adult, the magic was not lost on me, and for a while I was in my own little happy space. My first visit to Free Gold Watch, definitely not my last!
