Various shots American troops guarding crowd of German prisoners in bombed out town square - obviously scenes of heavy fighting. We see an American General with captured German officers.



Various shots GIs engaged in house to house street fighting, we see them patrolling city walls and climbing over rubble.



More shots of German prisoners being rounded up in square. The ordinary soldiers look happy and relieved it's all over, the Germany officers look slightly nervous.



Cameraman's clapper board gives date as 18/09/1944.
