Westbrook Van Vorhees narrates this 1958 television documentary about the nazi regime.

1950's television documentary special that includes interviews with Hitler's sister Paula Wolf and a fellow prisoner who was incarcerated with Hitler, actual footage shot by the Nazi's and Eva Braun's rare home movies.

This film depicts the secret life of Adolph Hitler as adapted from the original film called "Will it Happen Again" originally released in 1948. As compared to other works on the notorious Nazi leader, this particular film focuses on his personal life especially that with Eva Braun and at the Berghof mountain resort. It was here that Adolf spent much of his time during the Second World War. The film opens with images of Eva Braun and Hitler (:11). The film is directed and narrated by Westbrook Van Voorhis (:29). Scenes of bombed out ruin in Europe are displayed following the war (1:07). Hitler appears delivering one of his impassioned speeches to which he was known for (1:11). Much of his success in gathering support and power was attributed to his delivery of these speeches. Hitler's sister; Paula Wolf, speaks on Adolf's youth stating he was considered to be a failure early on (1:51). Hitler is then pictured moving through early Nazi's with their arms extended (2:24). He spent his youth as a painter and common laborer (3:06). Explosions erupt in 1914 as the First World War broke out (3:19) and the swastika was formed from this German defeat. In 1920, he became the leader of the German Labor Party (3:43) as it adopted the swastika as its official symbol. In 1923, Hitler and General Erich Ludendorff held riots in Munich; known historically as the Beer Hall Putsch (4:04). As Hitler was arrested for such actions, Joseph Goebbels took over the party leadership (4:12). Julius Schaub; Hitler’s chief aide, speaks to time shared with Adolf as he wrote Mein Kampf in 1924 in Landsberg prison (4:36). Hitler is filmed just after leaving prison (5:18). Rudolph Hess (5:38) and Julius Streicher (5:40) are pictured. By the 1930's, economic depression was strangling Germany (6:29). Newspapers began to fill with Nazi propaganda (6:48). In 1932, Hindenburg defeated Adolf and took power (6:52). Hitler again was made chancellor in 1933 (7:07). SS members are filmed as they smash into Jewish homes (8:19). Communism was outlawed and many participants were sent to concentration camps (8:19). On August 2nd, 1934 Hindenburg died (9:24). The film shows blatant violations of the Versailles Treaty by the Germans (10:42) including the massive German army. Baldur von Schirach appears as the notorious Nazi Youth Leader (10:50). The Calvary (12:41) and Panzer fleet appear (12:55). In 1936 troops, Hitler called for the remilitarization of the Rhineland (13:10). Germany invaded Austria in March of 1938 (14:11). Czechoslovakia was invaded in September of 1938 (14:41). The German Eagle; the Reichsadler is depicted (15:07). Germany divisions moved through the Polish border as Russia and Germany signed a pact (15:33). A warning was sent out in September of 1939 by a German radio station employee announcing the country was at war (17:03). Joseph Goebbels is pictured within his heavily guarded studio; the Haus am Bogensee (17:11). Combat erupts in the streets of Danzig; are area deemed lost to the Germans due their defeat in WWI (17:38). Hitler viewed the battle from the front line (18:14). Poland is captured in ruins (18:34). Hitler's mountain hideout; the Berghof residence follows (19:16). Hitler and Eva Braun's strange romance began here (19:59). She and her sister Gretel play together (20:11). As Adolf hated any signs of fatness; Eva spent much time in exercise (23:18). A party for Goebbels is captured (25:20) as well as rare footage of the dictator dancing a quick jig (26:26). Galeazzo Ciano; Mussolini's son in law arrives at the retreat (26:50). Eva and her friends enjoy a boat ride (27:06) and picnic (27:29) as Hitler goes over a graphic report (28:43). Transport planes unload paratroopers (29:46). The Panzer unit hits Holland (30:01). The Nazi's roll through the French Arc du Triomphe for a second time (30:31) reopening a wound torn in the First World War. On June 22nd, 1940, the French signed

The armistice (30:43). Hitler and Eva stroll to their tea house (31:08). The film concludes as on June 22nd, 1941 three Nazi groups invade Russia (32:13).
