Part 1. 2pm departure from Union Station Chicago Illinois to Ottumwa Iowa where we ran out of Daylight on Day 1.
For those who may never have the chance to ride the magnificent Amtrak California Zephyr from Chicago to San Francisco (Emeryville) this Video series is the entire real time journey in daylight hours. This 10 Part Project was recorded in April 2019 on a Vico Mory Dash Cam from our Sleeper Cabin on the right side of the Train.
Please note all GPS Data is in Degrees Minutes and Seconds (DMS) which needs to be converted to Decimal if using Google Maps.
In addition the Time Stamp is GMT +8 Hours so not the local time.
You will note there is no sound so, play your favorite music in the background. We wanted to spare you the constant noise from flushing toilets, loud passengers and staff and the sounding of the trains horn. Enjoy these 10 "Slow Videos".
