Cooking Australia's Most Unwanted Fish | Carp Kebab

Carp Fish Kebab Roll Recipe

Cut fish into pieces of about 1 inch avoiding the bones is possible for easy eating. Place 500 grams of fish pieces into a bowl.
Marinate fish pieces with:
½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp chilli powder
½ tsp sweet paprika
½ tsp cayenne pepper
½ tsp white pepper
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cooking salt
1 tsp sugar (optional)
¼ tsp Knorr Tamarind Soup Base powder (optional)
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp cooking oil
On skewers, grill over hot charcoal
Enjoy with lettuce in a wrap.
Add mayonnaise, ketchup or chilli sauce.

Carp are an abundant invasive fish species that has been contributing to environmental degradation across the Murray-Darling Basin since the 1960s. Carp are an invasive fish species. Carp is considered a noxious aquatic species in Victoria, Australia.
In Victoria, It is an offence to release live carp (or any noxious species) into any waters. The maximum penalty (in court) is a fine of $14,084 for a first offence and $28,168 for a second offence. I would say, carp is the most unwanted fish in Australia. If you return Carp to the water in Victoria you are committing an offence!......
Carp is not easy to catch. It took me 5 years to learn how to catch carp. Carps are very smart and fishing them needs experience, patience and planning.
