Weekend Escape to Custer National Forest in Montana

It was time for a weekend getaway to the mountains! It is great being able to spend time with family in Wyoming during the summer, but city life is not for me. Custer National Forest in Montana provided the perfect weekend escape for a chance to return to nature. We struck out at the first Forest Service campground we visited, as well as on several Forest Service roads that are listed as open to dispersed camping. Finally we happened upon a Forest Service campground that was deserted. We had the campground to ourselves for the entire weekend!
