This is a humorous ballad that presents a piece of writing in a humorous manner. This poem depicts a young girl named Belinda and her numerous pets. She has given the black kitten the name Ink, the grey mouse the name Blink, the yellow dog the name Mustard, and the coward dragon the name Custard. All of these characters are beautifully described by the poet in the poem. Except for the dragon, he claims that they are all very brave. When the dragon saves everyone from a pirate attack on Belinda's house, his perception changes.
