NC Deer Camp 2020 - Outfitter style

Time to hit the road South this time down to North Carolina for a Whitetail adventure. Not the usual cast of characters this time, but friends that I have been hunting with in Delaware for about the past 10 or 11 years. Set the GPS for Rocky Mount, NC and off we went.
Left at 7:30am on Monday morning went South on the peninsula to Maryland Virginia and then over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel in to Norfolk. Kept driving for about six hours and arrived at Daughtridge Farms Outfitters. about 1:30pm. Got settled into the bunkhouse or second lodge, and it was time to head out into the field for the first afternoon.
Things started off quick with four whitetails taken that afternoon by guys I came down with. Three bucks and a doe where on the back of the truck ready to head back to the lodge for the evening.
The second morning was pretty foggy, but a Couple with us took a doe. The rest of us didn't see much. That afternoon things really turned around and Rich, Randy, and I harvested three eight point bucks on the same farm. Randy's weighted in at 220lbs. The biggest ever taken there.
Hit another quiet period for the next day and half, but enjoyed ourselves immensely. Was blessed to see a fabulous sunrise on our last morning out.
Ate some great home cooked food and had some fun around the lodge meeting people from other parts of the country.
Time to pack up the spoils from the trip and head back home.
