Mike starts by showing the 8mp security camera mounted above his garage door. This dome IP camera features ultra high-definition 4K resolution and a motorized varifocal lens (2.8 to 12mm), which he has set to its widest angle. With this wide-angle view, the camera can easily monitor an entire driveway, making it ideal for broad outdoor areas.

For reference, the driveway featured in the video footage is about 35 feet long, and details remain crisp even at 55-60 feet away as vehicles pass by on the street. The clarity at distance is truly impressive, showing the advantages of 4K resolution for identifying people, vehicles, and details in your footage.

Next, Mike transitions to a night-time demo using the camera’s built-in infrared (IR) night vision. The ultra-wide field of view covers his 65-foot-wide front yard, and even in total darkness, the camera delivers clear, detailed video.
