Back in September 2017 the power unit from Class 37261 Caithness was removed to make working on the power unit more accessible during its restoration and now 3 years later with the power unit now fully restored by the Scottish Class 37 group and the Bo'ness Diesel Group and soon to be installed back into the locomotive in a few days time.
Whilst being shunted by DRS Class 20305 in the railways back yard the Class 37261 jumped the track and derailed outside the MMPD (Modern Motive Power Depot). This was the attempts of some diesel group guys to re-rail the locomotive again.
