Sukanto Tanoto - An Entrepreneur's Journey Part 2/9: RGE's Business - Touching People's Lives Daily

[Part 2 of 9] RGE (Royal Golden Eagle) Chairman Sukanto Tanoto candidly shared his experiences in a keynote speech with a group of 60 EMBA and MBA students from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. The event was held at the Singapore Management University on May 25, 2015. The students were on a five-day visit to Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia as part of Wharton School’s Global Modular Course.

"RGE's Business" shows RGE's business focus areas - in pulp & paper, palm oil, specialty cellulose, viscose staple fibre and clean energy resource development. Sukanto Tanoto shares insights into his businesses, the focus on the upstream, and the impact his businesses have on the daily lives of millions globally.

Sukanto Tanoto is the founder and Chairman of RGE. He started as a spare parts supplier to the oil and construction industry in 1967 before founding RGE in 1973.

RGE manages a group of world-class companies with an asset base of over US$15 billion and have operations in Indonesia, China and Brazil and sales offices worldwide.
