Making games is hard, and can be a costly process without any guarantee of financial success. Small teams and solo developers can often be overwhelmed by advice on where their budget should be spent, or simply lack the information to make the right strategic decisions.

As a game developer and an intellectual property attorney, I would like to present a step-by-step guide on how developers can make the right decisions in the early stages of their project to set them up for success down the road.
