This course is started for those who have no previous experience
on GNS3 and wish to learn how to utilize GNS3 to create Cisco
networking topologies for Cisco Certification preparation,
or just for fun.
I'm running GNS Update version I have a couple of host devices and switch in a
topology. I'd like to know the steps to configure
an IP address on the hosts.
We can configure ip addressing and gateway to host by using this command ip 2.2.2.1 and 2.2.2.2 for a single network.
Select and right-click PC1 and select Console to open its console. The CLI prompt window will be displayed.
In the CLI prompt window, use the following syntax to configure TCPIP settings on the VPCS.
ip : IP Address Subnet Mask Default Gateway
Next, use the following syntax to configure DNS server IP address.
ip dns DNS server IP address
If you want to obtain TCPIP setting on VPCS machine using the DHCP server, use the following syntax to obtain the TCP IP settings from the DHCP server.
ip dhcp
