➡️ Third Eye Blind are a band I always enjoyed hearing passively on the radio, but never sought them out further. Thanks to a request from one of our patrons, I was reintroduced to the band with "Motorcycle Drive By" - a beautiful ballad showcasing some incredibly-lyrical bass playing from Arion Salazar. I discuss the "binary" approach to the songwriting, a breakdown of the bass melodies and fills during the intro, the song's use of "happy" dissonance, how the bass lines foreshadow each song section, and much more!
