ICO HD 100% Walkthrough - Part 1: The Fateful Encounter! [w/commentary]

Hey everyone! Welcome to my ICO HD 100% Walkthrough.

It's the start of a new adventure and this time it is in Fumito Ueda and Team Ico's world of ICO. This is an adventure about a boy meeting a mysterious girl and both of them escaping the castle in the mist.
The young boy, Ico, will need to keep his new companion safe from the mysterious Shadow Creatures that will attempt to abduct the girl if he wants both of them to escape their prison.

This game was released in 2001/2002 and has quite a few mechanics that were not seen on other Playstation 2 games at the time. I think that the AI of the enemies and Yorda are very advanced for its time too.

This was actually my first Playstation 2 game and i hated it at the time because i couldn't get past the first few rooms and it was so different to what i used to play at the time but as i have grown older, i now appreciate this game a lot more and it is one of my favorite games now.
This is not the Playstation 2 version. I am playing the Playstation 3 remaster version of the game.

EPISODE 1 SYNOPSIS
A boy named Ico was born with horns and has been hated by all of the people in his village because they think that horned boys are cursed and are the reason for the villages bad fortune. So boys with horns are sent to the castle in the mist to be sacrificed.
Luckily, the coffin that Ico was put into fell due to the rumbling in the castle and Ico escapes but is knocked unconscious due to the fall from the coffin. After a mysterious vision, Ico explores the castle and finds a girl in a cage, he then frees her. While they are speaking, a shadowy figure tries to take the girl away but Ico defeats it. Their journey to escape the castle begins...
