Motovun has rich history and is one of the best preserved medieval towns. Motovun is still encircled by completely preserved inner town walls from the 13th 14th centuries, that you can walk on, and they offer amazing views over beautiful tuscan-like souroundings. Motovun is also a capital of truffles, expensive underground mushrooms with distinctive flavour and smell. Legend says that Motovun is also home of a friendly giant named Big Joe. With incredible history and legends Motovun is truly a magical place in the middle of Istria.
