Where do musicians actually get the inspiration for their songs? A question that I'm sure many have already asked themselves. Goldkimono has revealed his - sometimes very unusual - sources of inspiration to us. And it turns out that sometimes the most exciting, creative sources are found where you least expect them.

Anyone who knows Goldkimono knows that his sounds thrive on extravagant, vibrant sounds. With the insight he gives us into the creation process of his new album “This One's On The House”, we now also understand where this comes from. After all, it's probably not common practice for a bar stool to be turned into a musical instrument, for a child's toy piano to be added to the tape or for a cat to accidentally contribute a track. All of this has happened with Goldkimono. The Dutchman tells us which everyday moments have also been incorporated into his melodies and how exactly they came about in the Top 5!

Woher nehmen Musiker:innen eigentlich die Inspiration für ihre Songs? Eine Frage, die sich bestimmt schon einige gestellt haben. Goldkimono hat uns seine – dann doch auch zum Teil sehr ungewöhnlichen – Inspirationsquellen verraten. Und dabei kam heraus: Manchmal liegen die spannendsten, kreativsten Quellen dort, wo man sie am wenigsten erwartet hätte.
