Ingredients and Directions LUSH Bath Bomb Dupe

****For those having trouble with the ratios here are the
EXACT MEASUREMENTS I USED, this made 6 bath bombs in the size shown in the video***
1 cup baking soda
½ cup citric acid
½ cup cornstarch
½ cup epsom salt

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons witch hazel
2 tablespoons drops of your favorite essential oil(s)
***Just use enough liquid to get the right texture, SLIGHTLY DAMP, you may not need this entire amount

Recipe in RATIOS so you can adjust as needed

STEP ONE - Combine dry ingredients:
2 Parts Baking Soda
1 Part Powdered Citric Acid *Cream of tatar can be substituted but your bath bomb will not fizz.
1 Part Corn Starch
1 Part Epsom Salt

STEP TWO -- Combine wet ingredients in separate bowl:
(since you don't need as much liquid, 'parts' here can be in smaller units, i/e tablespoons)
3 Parts Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Melted Coconut Oil
1 Part Essential Oils (I like to use lavender for relaxation and lemon as a mood lifter)
1 Part Witch Hazel (optional) If you don't have witch hazel just use more essential oils. NOTE you do not want to use water as it will cause a chemical reaction and the product will activate.

SLOWLY incorporate wet ingredients (and a few drops food coloring if you'd like) until the mixture is just damp enough that you can form a ball in your hand. It should be only slightly damp and NOT too wet. If the texture is too wet, add more dry ingredients.

***a lot of you have been asking, what 'a part' is. A part is a ratio that can be whatever measurement is convenient based on the amount of mix you'd like to make. For example, one part could mean 1 cup or it could mean a 1/4 cup, whatever unit of measurement works for you. If your one part was 1 cup then the recipe would be 2 (CUPS) Baking Soda
1 (CUP) Powdered Citric Acid 1 (CUP) Corn Starch 1 (CUP) Epsom Salt. Hope this makes sense!

Then pack mixture into silicone molds. I found that silicone molds work the best to make these, you can also get creative and use tennis balls cut in half, plastic easter egg molds, ice cube trays, cookie cutters, etc! You can find silicone molds in all shapes and sizes on Amazon.com. http://www.amazon.com/niceeshop-Flowe...

LET DRY OVERNIGHT and then remove from molds by gently pressing the bottom. Store in airtight container and these will last up to 6 months ☺
