Puppy: What gets better on its own, what doesn't? | Poodle Lotti

A puppy develops on its own in many areas, while other aspects require specific training. 💓 Biting less is a natural progression that puppies usually learn on their own - bite inhibition should still be trained. As they age, their bite will soften as they play or explore. Leash walking, on the other hand, must be actively trained, as puppies often pull and tug on the leash at first. Ground eating may improve spontaneously as puppies get older and their curiosity wanes. Still, it's important to teach them not to eat anything unhealthy. Calmness and composure can develop in puppies over time, but consistent training will help them learn the right behaviors.
