Jameson's Mamba (Dendroaspis jamesoni)

The Jameson's Mamba is a highly venomous snake native to equatorial Africa. These mambas are known to be arboreal and have a preferance to forested areas that are dense in vegetation types of habitat.

This was my first ever sighting of a Jameson's Mamba while on a herping tour in Uganda. What an amazing experience it was. Big shout out to our guides for finding this beauty!
